In the Room
The location was definitely incredible , next to the beach in a very calm sector of Calahonda. The restaurant and bar also are next to the beach and the food was really good indeed.
Some detais about the room make you think that you are paying a price which is too-much for the hotel. The hand door of the shower was on the floor of the bathroom for example, and the clean was ok, but not super. In addition, the price of the room and specially the food in the restaurant was super expensive, compared to what we have received.
A pretty new modern hotel right on the beach, perfect for families with small kids. Good restaurant. Calahonda is a charming little village free of all that going on in places like Benalmadena. We found it peaceful and friendly and spanish dominated.
Problems with the wi-fi on all floors except in the reception area, which was very annoying. Waiters took your orders swiftly but served you something different. Difficult with parking close to the hotel, however we never received any fines for inventive parking.
This is an excellently run hotel. All the staff were very pleasant. The food in the hotel was top quality and the location could not have been better being 10 yards from the beach. The bedrooms were very bright and had beautiful views of the sea.We will definitely return to this hotel.
This is not a complaint but it would be a plus if there were sunbeds and umbrellas for the beach.
Relaxing location. Dining area
Rooms need to be sound proofed
Excellent service, friendly welcoming staff and stunning location. Breakfast in the hotel was delightful and we all thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant in the evening. We will definitely visit again.
Although we didn't ask, it would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Other than this perfect!
It was very relaxing and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a lovely location on the beach.
The only thing I can think of is the bathroom was too small.
Unbeatable spot on the quiet beach of sleepy Calahonda village. We loved every moment spending on the lovely beach and great hotel Comfortable beds, good restaurant-and above all Maria -the only one stuff member, who spoke English and was very helpful in any question an simply friendly face.
The non english speaking stuff-not even by hands. The pillows made my neck sore for few days after our stay.
The manager was extremely helpful as was most of the friendly staff.the breakfasts were great and so enjoyable to eat on the terrace facing the sea.their menu was great so we also enjoyed dinner from their al acarte menu watching the sun going down. We found the beach a bit pebbly and there was a steep drop in the water so we didnt swim but younger people definitely enjoyed it . We would definitely book again and infact extended our stay there as it was so relaxing,we could hear the waves lapping as we went to sleep...bliss !
Excellent situation - right on the beach! Modern design elements. Large rooms with terraces. Very helpful staff. Restaurant/bar on site.
This isn't the fault of the hotel, but you just need to keep in mind that there are no markets/shops or restaurants in close proximity. The harbor area is at the other end of town, so expect to either eat in the on site restaurant (which is excellent, by the way) or drive to the harbor area (it's not a walkable distance).
This hotel is in a fantastic location right on the beach with all rooms having a balcony and great sea views.the beach is very nice. They even had bikes for free use to the guest which I found great!! Pity more hotels in Spain did not also have this.
Fabulous view from room, lovely beach outside door. Breakfasts very good. Very good restaurant attached. Friendly, pleasant staff.
A pool would have been nice, since the sea was not that easy to swim in.
Hotel & rooms are very clean, air-con is whisper quiet & very efficient, beds comfortable & food is good if not a bit pricey! The location is superb, Calahonda is a lovely Spanish resort, full of Spanish tourists & locals, & hardly a British tourist in sight! If you like your Spanish holidays "Spanish" this is a good resort & Hotel for you.
Booking, com desciption of the hotel stated every room has a fridge, ours did not. We requested a sea-view room but didn't get one. Beware the restuarant bill! We ordered 2 x main courses @ 12 Euros each & were charged 44 Euros total & didn't notice until it was too late to complain!
The hotel was beautifully situated by the sea, right on the beach. It was possible therefore to have breakfast and dinner overlooking a very lovely view. The hotel staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful, as were the good fun staff in the restaurant.
One minor point was that the balcony light didn't work which was a shame as by the time we were there (early October) evenings were getting dark quite early but it was still quite warm. I gather that even when they do work they cannot be individually operated within each room. The other point we'd like to make is that people should be aware that there is very little to do in Calahonda, especially by October, when there are only a couple of bars/cafes open and the place feels a bit forlorn.
We used this hotel for a one night stop whilst touring in the region. The town is not the most beautiful but the hotel is situated in the best part of it overlooking the end of the bay. We paid a little extra for rooms with a sea view. That was money well spent. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms were all excellent. We chose the breakfast option which was well worth it.
Stylish rooms, good food, beachfront location
